The military industrial complex is a form of organized crime.
We divert trillions in financial resources for “defense” which is absurd, when no other nation on earth has spawned such a vast network of military dominance.
The real inconvenience truth is, we need to deter anyone who dares to evade or attempt to dethrone the petro-USD$ as the world reserve currency. It is what allows us to deliriously spend like drunken sailors and “devalue” our way out.
China and Russia doesn’t like it but what can they do? Russia depends on petroleum to survive. China is actively getting out of fossil fuel dependency as fast as humanly possible.
Therefore, it is almost inevitable that we will use the military on them to maintain the status quo.

Wow, look at that. Russia is one of the last places on earth without US bases. No wonder Russia is constantly painted as the bad guy. It's much harder to steal from a country if there is no “foothold”.

I don't think we'd allow a military bases from another country. I wouldn't want it. Makes the US look like a pussy. Plus they'd have to fly/sail over an Ocean. Got forbid Euros and Asians have to work in the MIC of their origin.

Fact is no country on earth has our reach globally. Not even close. And if we're allies we just tell them to take the ships out before they reach the Atlantic or Pacific. Literally no one is a threat unless they want to be glassed over with nukes.
