Hungarian PM Orbán Says European Union Is Working To Overthrow His Government, Install a ‘Puppet Regime’ Obedient to Brussels’ Failed Globalist Policies

Conservative hero Viktor Orbán once called the EU ‘a contemporary parody of the Soviet Union’.

For years, the Hungarian Prime Minister has been engaged in a constant struggle against the block and its slew of ruinous globalist policies.

Now, Orbán has told a crowd of followers that the European Union is working to overthrow his government, and install a puppet regime that will follow the Brussels line to the letter.

Reuters reported:

“Hungary’s nationalist Prime Minister Viktor Orban alleged on Wednesday that the European Union executive was trying to overthrow his government and impose a “puppet” administration on Budapest, likening his protest to the 1956 anti-Soviet uprising.”

The western press is over-excited that Orbán will faces an acute threat by a former Fidesz member coming up in the polls.

Orbán spoke to supporters on the anniversary of the 1965 revolt against Soviet domination.

The Hungarian premier defended his sovereign policies relating to the Ukraine war, migration and other Globalist agendas, and said that these were unacceptable to Brussels.

“’We know they want to force us into the war (in Ukraine), that they want to impose their migrants upon us, and hand over our children to gender activists’, he said in a speech from a stage set up in Budapest’s Millenaris Park.

‘We know that they’ve got a puppet government (in mind), the party they want to impose on us’, Orban said, alluding to the new center-right, pro-EU Tisza party of Peter Magyar, who addressed a rally of over 10,000 people later in the day.

Trump, if elected, will again make the big boyz (France and Germany) pay their agreed-to share. Saves us money.

Hungarians are based. I met one back in the day - he was close-mouthed, but he introduced me to Hungarian wine and paprika. To this day, I order "Pride of Szeged" sweet paprika, which is awesome.

That statement by Orban is out of context...

According to your link, other quotes by Orban include...
"We Hungarians will not kneel before Brussels,"
"Hungarians won’t die for Ukraine"

For not allowing migrants into Hungary. Yes you can call it a fine.
And I don't know if this is actual Hungarian money or some European money
that Brussels is holding back.

Hungary now ranks last among European Union member states in a vital measure of household welfare—Actual Individual Consumption (AIC) per capita—according to June 18, 2025 data from Eurostat. At just 72% of the EU average, Hungary trails all 26 other countries in terms of what families actually consume, including public services like healthcare and education.

In stark contrast, Luxembourg leads the bloc with 141%, while the Netherlands and Germany stand at 120% and 118%, respectively. Even Poland, a Central European peer, comes in at a much healthier 85% of the EU average, dramatically outpacing Hungary in real living standards by about 13 percentage points.

This glaring gap grows more compelling when set against GDP per capita. Although Hungary’s GDP reaches roughly 77% of the EU average, lifting it above several low-income EU nations, its households nonetheless remain poorer in consumption terms. This discrepancy highlights the fact that economic output isn’t translating into real benefits for Hungarian families.

Orbán's personal "mini-Versailles":

The guy has been a politician all his life, never owned a single business. Hmm...
