Anyone have one? It was down the block, but I just went off on one from a distance. I know they own guns so I tread lightly. But they have these Jeeps and have huge sub systems in them and blare the music and I was trying to nap as an insomniac.

Woke my ass up and got in a long distance argument. Sent a note to the police chief who I know. We're talking in a cement basement 100 yards away. I was not very nice with my language.

I might buy 2-3 more lots in my subdivision (new build) to not have ass holes around me. Might sound like a Karen, but this is where I live. I was here before they were by a decade. Don't fuck with me. I'll make your life miserable.

Do you live near a trailer park? I think you posted a build of your new house recently and some of the houses nearby sort of looked like .. well maybe manufactured homes if not trailers? I can't quite remember.
2   WookieMan   2025 Feb 23, 2:05pm

They're real houses. Gotta remember we have basements. All the houses in any photo is 3k sq.ft. total. Buddies house next door is 4k and ours will be 4,800k. Can't build trailers or manufactured homes here. Against code.

Are the other houses up to my standard, no. But it's certainly not white trash by a long shot. Point of the thread was merely asking if people had other dip shits move in near them. It's not about the house. It's about the people.

I've been lucky with neighbors almost my entire life. Only just the other year we got what I'd consider a "bad neighbor" who moved in a few doors down.

The guy is a backyard mechanic of sorts and has vehicles everywhere. One day they had 17 cars parked all the way down the street, all with temporary plates (which isn't really legal around here). He'd have cars, parts, old lawnmowers, etc parked in his front yard. Oils and transmission fluids spilled all over the place. Burning plastics in his backyard.

Most of the other neighbors are older, so they're retired and have plenty of time to complain, which they did. I think he got a number of fines and as a result he really cleaned his act up. No more cars on the street or in the front yard. He has a fence around the entire back yard, so who knows what's going on there, but at least it's not spilling over into other lots.

Had one two houses away who built an illegal fire pit in his back yard and would burn green wood every week in the summer, making really acrid smoke which got into our house. I tried asking him to at least let us know when he was going to start burning so we could shut the windows, but he wouldn't.

Apocalypsefuck offered to drive by and machinegun his house, but that just got me a visit from the police, because the guy was actually reading patrick.net, since he worked for Wells Fargo in mortgages. Police had me delete the comment, OK.

Since then, most neighbors have been pretty good. My only complaint is the continuous use of gas-powered leaf blowers every day, even though they are against city code. Police refuse to enforce the code.

It's not my day. 100db of bass from 100 yards away INSIDE my house is not acceptable. The cop said the same. He gave them a warning.

Our town is upper middle class with some white trash mixed in. This is that family, white trash. I've put up with it for over a year. I will get them to move. I'm the Clint Eastwood of my block. I'm moving 4 blocks away, but my mom is moving in. They're toast.

We're a small town and I don't want it going to shit like some neighboring towns. I love rural but you have to take charge to manage the shit heads. I do that. My Puerto Rican neighbor does that even though he's a bit messy.

Don't be a Karen, but get involved in your community. Certain people give no shits about you and will trash the place. I won't let that happened. I waited a year for something that's gone on weekly, so I think I've been pretty restrained.

What kind of rig does that guy have to create those volume levels? It sounds concert level.

I knew a rich audiophile who had a house in Los Altos on about two acres and a good distance from his neighbors. He put in a fan based subsonic system that ported to the outside because of the pressures. His system was in a kind of half basement under the garage, but when the system was on, you could feel the concrete in his garage moving. He also said that the neighbors didn't complain about noise, but they did think that there was an earthquake when he tested it at high output.

I think some of those systems can be like the Tesla boxes that hone in on vulnerable resonant frequencies and can cause damage.

There was another audiophile back east who was super into bass sound and had an high energy bass system. He was very far from neighbors in the country, so it didn't bother anybody, but visitors said the system could make their pant legs flap.

That must have been the Thigpin Rotary Subwoofer - 1 to 30 Hz frequency response:

https://www.eminent-tech.com/RWbrochure.htm

The other way to do it is using an Infinite Baffle subwoofer setup :

https://ibsubwoofers.proboards.com/

Easiest way is to get several servo subwoofers (https://www.rythmikaudio.com/) and use MSO (https://www.andyc.diy-audio-engineering.org/mso/html/) to integrate them.

If you don't like servo, try JTR (https://www.jtrspeakers.com/jtr-captivator-4000ulflp) or Danley (https://www.danleysoundlabs.com/products/j1-94/).

The advantage of servo and IB is sub 1% THD, which means that subsonic bass stays subsonic. Cheap bass cabinets produce over 100% 2nd to 4th order harmonic distortion when trying to hit below 20 Hz - this means that a 20Hz tone will sound like a 60-80Hz tone.

I don't need to get into the specs of systems. It's just flat out rude and illegal. I have neighbors nearing death/elderly and they have their windows rattling from a damn car. We have 2 other early riser neighbors for work. They might be in bed by 7pm and they come rolling home playing loud AF music. Not good music either. It's just to push the system to the max to make the most noise.

These people have been nothing but a nuisance since they moved it. I'm a MAGA person and so are they, but they're the type the left focuses on. Losers basically. We can troll and bash the left, but don't fuck with your own neighbors. Have some decency.

I had some trailer park trash at my last San Diego condo I made move. Our front doors pointed at each other and they had 2 big dogs that they kept inside too long everyday.

So when they let them out they would immediately piss on my front porch. And shit all over my area. I finally put up a camera and caught them. After that I put up several cameras, one pointed at their door (real obvious on purpose), one showing their car, others to cover the entire path they take to their car or mailbox.

I think before that I asked them to knock that shit off and told them I had several videos of them doing this.

Well, they didn't or didn't realize cams have infrared or some shit so then next day I beat on their door and when the husband came out I lit into him. I 'threatened them' but only so far as that every fucking time I saw them outside I'd start yelling, "Hey everyone it's the dog shit lady!" And several variants of that. I gave them some examples for several minutes.

It took a couple of months but they packed up and moved out. Also, every time the wife walked out her door she gave my camera the finger. It was glorious.

Then I took the cameras down because I had an obscene number of cameras up and didn't want to look like a weirdo after that lol..

And I didn't have to rat them out so they'd get the $250 fine but I think when I was yelling about the dog shit lady I asked invisible neighbors if I should show the video to management for a fine.

My neighbor upstairs moved too haha.
13   Maga_Chaos_Monkey   2025 Feb 25, 6:49pm

After that 2 gay guys and a tranny moved in. I liked them much better. No dog shit, they kept to themselves and when the tranny and I were on a collision course on the sidewalk he'd walk in the grass so I got to keep the pavement.

Oh and the signed autograph of D and M Trump the former tenants ordered erroneously ended up in my mailbox so I kept it.

I cause no issues on my block. I want to get along with everyone. You fuck up my flow though I'm gonna call you out and will cause a scene. Ghetto white neighbors with "Pink Pimp" on their car pisses me off and absurdly loud bass. Knives are sharp and tires are flat is all I'll say if this shit continues.

The cops did their job so far, but now with the warm(ish) weather here they're firing up the motorcycle. I moved to a rural area to not deal with noise. Can't wait to get in the new house, but my mom will have to deal with these ass bags. So need to deal with it in the next 4 months.

Yes, it was the Thigpen rotary woofer. They did tests with audiophiles in attendance for the frequencies below 15, and some said it made their balls ache though they couldn't 'hear' the waves.

Sounds like stereotomy is a fellow audiophile, which I might have guessed from the name.

I have had one horrible and one just totally ignorant.

The ignorant one lived on the next block with their yard adjacent to mine. Weekend, the damn Spanish language tuba music started at 8am every fucking weekend and blasted LOUD enough to shake the windows on MY house. I went over there a few times and no one would ever answer. I called the cops to no avail. After a few weekends I spent Friday night hooking up some old early 1980’s era HUGE speakers. One neighboring house was empty and I told the other neighbor(an old guy in his 80’s) what I was doing the next day. He was super excited and said he would go to his kids house. I set a 16 hour mix of music where Megadeth and Slayer featured prominently and fired it up at 8am on Saturday and left all day returning at 1am. It was horribly loud like I could hear it a few blocks away and completely distorted from being so loud. Never again heard the neighbors music.

Another neighbor about 5 houses down…the leaseholder lived there with her daughter and infant granddaughter. The daughter dated a gangbanger. His friends(IE fellow gangmembers) used to come over and stay all weekend dealing drugs. Four cards on their lawn every weekend and a steady stream of cars pulling up, someone coming out of the house and jumping in the car. Car leaving for 2-3 minutes and then returning and the same person jumping out and going back into the house. The old neighbor had told me she was on section 8. Cops had been there many many times.

I worked a 410 schedule at the time with Fridays off. One Thursday I was kind of beat down and took some leave hours at noon. I arrive home to see the party started early that weekend with four cars already parked on the lawn. I called Housing Dept and reported that there was a section 8 occupied house on my block with about 20 people living in it(huge no no). They asked me how I knew so many people lived there and I described the activity I observed. They asked me how I knew that she was on the section 8 program and I told them that 3 separate neighbors had told me and that the police were constantly visiting that house.

Around 4pm I see a City passenger vehicle drive down the street and stop in front of the house for about 10 minutes and leave. On Friday the same vehicle and city employee returned with three police cars and every occupant out in front of the house. The Monday night when I got home from work, the old neighbor came up to me excitedly and told me that the lady got the boot and was being forced to accept housing in Lancaster(city in the desert, about an hour outside downtown Los Angeles but still in Los Angeles County) or be dropped from the section 8 program.

The house was beat up bad but was 2600 sq ft and in a neighborhood of post WW2 cracker boxes, had potential. A nice Spanish speaking family that owned a construction business bought it and fixed it up into the nicest house on the block in only a few months.

Karen or not, sometimes assholes have to be met with the same.

Agree. I let most things slide, I really don't want to seem like a Karen. A car that needs exhaust work that's loud is annoying, but it's likely a money issue. They're not doing it on purpose and people may not be able to drop $400 or more on a repair.

Music or peeling out in your hot rod is beyond annoying. Harley's really bug me. Illegal pipes and revving them up at 6am will and does piss me off. Especially hate it if I know they're renters. You don't have a vested interest in this block.

New house I'll have two sheriffs within 200' and they park their squad cars there. Hoping for it to be better. I need to get one intersection with a stop sign though. Should be easy hopefully.

If it sounds over the top it's mostly due to the dog shit. First question I'd asked is how long they'd lived there (2 years) and each dog was leaving at least one very large dump randomly along 2 sides of my unit. There was a LOT of dog shit deposited. It smelled like a gdam dog park. Also, I had just moved in and so was doubly pissed. I actually stepped in dog shit when I met the owners to fill out the lease application, not knowing.

After a while you'd never know that those dogs had shit so much out there.

If you live somewhere with no fences, maybe a pool and are in your late 70s or older you could alternate that with nude sun bathing within their view haha...

There's always an ass hole in every neighborhood price be dammed. You got lucky. Appreciate it.

I can't wait to move. No direct neighbors and the one we are friends with with an acre between us and we have 1/2 and acre to the other side. I don't disrupt my neighbors lives, but I really don't want to interact with them. It will be nice.

Now I just need to get the village to install a stop sign because of ass hole drivers and I'm not even living there yet.

You were a front runner if I recall correctly. We're in year 15-20 roughly in IL. CA is only half way there and with a larger population. It's calmed down here for those that wanted to move out though no one is moving in really. Just relocating in the same area like we are.

I'd make the same in CA but twice the cost of living even considering the property taxes here. Not worth it for weather. I'll just travel.
