That may be the creed, but it wasn't the basis for our Federal Government. THAT document is the Constitution of the United States of America.

The Declaration of Independence was the inspired idea. The Constitution is where the rubber met the road, and aspiration achieved lasting reality, however imperfectly implemented.

no silly, it was the first government of the people, for the people, by the people. the concept foreign for the times.

civil body politic to create fair and just laws among each other. this was first of its kind, among both saints and strangers.

it’s what our nation was founded upon.

now our government today is not same, its self serving, corrupt and immoral and very huge. and neither party has the answer, being part of the problem.
