President Trump just posted on Truth Social that he’s directing his DOJ to do everything they can to try and free Tina Peters, who he calls a “Political Prisoner’, from a Colorado prison after she was sentenced to 9 years for allowing voter data breach to try and prove Dominion helped steal the 2020 election.

Here’s what he had to say:

Radical Left Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser ignores Illegals committing Violent Crimes like Rape and Murder in his State and, instead, jailed Tina Peters, a 69-year-old Gold Star mother who worked to expose and document Democrat Election Fraud. Tina is an innocent Political Prisoner being horribly and unjustly punished in the form of Cruel and Unusual Punishment. This is a Communist persecution by the Radical Left Democrats to cover up their Election crimes and misdeeds in 2020.

The same Democrat Party that flies to El Salvador to try to free an MS-13 Terrorist, is cruelly imprisoning, perhaps for life, a grandmother whose brave and heroic son gave his life for America. Colorado must end this unjust incarceration of an innocent American. Trump is right. She recorded and preserved the 2020 election data (as per per designated statutory procedure) when the local Dem politicians had ordered all of the evidence of election fraud deleted and the machines re-booted. Then, the crooked Colorado courts railroaded her into prison as punishment and to set the usual KommieKunt selective justice example.

She's the poster woman for political persecution for telling the truth and doing her job.

Was her conviction a federal crime? If so, Trump could just pardon her. If it was a state crime, then Trump cannot pardon her, but the DOJ can investigate the people who ordered the data destroyed.

It was State, but she didn't commit a crime. She followed the statutory procedures to copy and preserve the election information. It was a punitive frame up pure and simple by the politicians who told her to do otherwise claiming she had no authority to do so. The authorities were covering up for their own election fraud.

The State status is the sticky wicket, sovereignty and all of that.

Remember the Colorado Supreme Court unanimously said that Trump couldn't be on the 2024 Colorado ballot and was defeated by SCOTUS in one of the extremely rare 9-0 decisions. Even the liberal crew voted against the Colorado supremes.
