Wikipedia has expanded massively what was once a 200 word description has exploded into a 2000 word assay. I do know NO human would spend time doing this much defining on any or odd subject matter as you can tell it's being stolen(borrowed) from any online source and rewritten.
If you recall, Amazon rolled those free moving robotic pallet dollies. They didn't last a year,
Most companies betting heavily on AI will fail or decline, whereas those using it as a tool under the oversight of qualified coders will thrive.
Some AI out there = Actually Indians
But facts are if your engineer spends $1k per month on tokens then you don't have a software engineer.

They don't want one.
That the part you peeps STILL don't get.
They'll fail and the companies investing into talent will thrive, similar to those who already outsource massively,

Wrong. They said the same crap in the 00s about outsourcing. I believed it. Then I learned.
They don't give a shit about 'great software'. They are taught explicitly not to in MBA school.
They are taught to wring out every last cent of costs no matter what.
Look how crappy Google search is today? Are you afraid to fly in a Boeing airplane? So fucking what! As long as MBA boy gets his bonus while avoiding culpability, so fucking what.
This has been obvious for 50 years now. Where da fuq have you been? Time to wake up.
Airbus has surpassed Boeing as the biggest airplane maker and Boeing has learned from this. You can maintain a cynical attitude but overall eventually the best product wins
The AI implementation where AI using cameras and sensors, and can deduce what their next process will be based solely on information and material at the job location. Those are real and continue to replace human workers. Where the finances permit. As I have said before, AI robots that it will comedown to a hardware upkeep issue, not the effectiveness of the AI bot solution. But modern electronics and surface mount micro semiconductors on tiny green boards, and fragile screens, and fragile micro tiny surface mount tactile buttons. Will cause a quick turn around of working to broken hardware, that manty owners will abandon buying replacements, and return human workers. As we have seen with much of Amazon's logistic operations. If you recall, Amazon rolled those free moving robotic pallet dollies. They didn't last a year, the abuse on them was far too great. Imagine a glorified Rumba running back and forth across a huge Amazon warehouse, and the battery and hardware keeping up with that, 24/7. But some where between needing a battery powered dolly that sees usage every minute of every day, and more sensible usage of the right tech. I can see AI replacing menial sorting, quality control, automated assembly processes and steps.
The biggest area AI will fail will be any forward facing Client, where information is swapped between the company and the Customer.
I think one of the biggest reason for this as it stands right now. Was Google intentionally sabotaging their Google search engine in late 2015, to stop Trump and try to save Hillary Clinton. I do believe at the moment Donald Trump walked down the escalators, Google in the synonymous sense of being how you ask the all knowing super computer that is the internet, damn near anything. You got a quality answer and result. Most often you got more information on the topic than you ever dreamed existed. Google was so good at what it did, I was worried the Human brain was going dumb down, and let Google do all of their thinking for them. I had all of the confidence in Google then, that I don not have in AI right now, including Google Search.
Which brings us the heart of the real problem really. From the moment that Trump came down the escalator in 2015, to the time the 2016 election came. Google had completely mangled and crippled their search algorithms. They also deleted swaths of data, archived data and web content was deleted, purged, and censored. AI was selling Trump to anyone that asked Google political questions about what they were hearing in the news. Google seemed to know the Media and official narrative, was bullshit, and the so called Fake news was the truth. Remember it called Hillary the personification of evil?
By time the election came, Google was so fucked up, then they proceeded to mangle it more, and turn it into the official commie propaganda service. Along with most all social networks for the next 8 years following Trump's 2016 win.
I think this is one of the biggest reasons that AI no matter who it is made by. Depends on Google, as Humanity put their faith in Google early on that it was going to the internet Archivist of every important factoid, historical facts, synopsis on any course material regardless of the subject. It was all right there. It was so good, I once caught myself wondering about a girl in my class back in high school. I couldn't think of her name, for a brief moment I caught myself pondering asking Google what was her name. Which I could have probably done, by searching school records, then trying to see if the list of students refreshes my memory. But I'm not talking about that, I mean I was pondering literally asking Google "Who was that chick that sit behind me in so in so's class?". I remember really having my mind blown, that I even briefly entertained doing that. That was sometime during Obama's admin. Might have been 2012 or so. It made me wary about relying on Google to do our heavy thinking, or research for us. Google in 2012, would beat the snot out of any AI service available today, including Google. It knew things, and had information that just isn't available anymore.
I consider it as much of a travesty of Human information and History since the burning of the Library of Alexandria. It really is that devastating.
So much data that Google had or was on the servers that was censored, canceled, bought and shut down, was information that was believed would always be there. Original context and information is gone forever. Look at all of the books that has gone to the landfill, and movie copies people pitched DVD, VHS because we all bought into the digital bullshit, it would be on the internet forever, why do we need to keep a copy around?
So this all leads to the giant hole in the head of AI, and every AI company using the same diminished Google knowledge base as their source. People say data, but no! Every AI bot is searching Google, that's all AI for the end user really is. It's a bot doing the Google search for you, then serving it up to you in a format you can use. As if you did it yourself. That would have been so cool 8 years ago. But now it's like someone with down syndrome is serving it up.
Also you look on Google yourself. It's as if Google decided on one answer for most topics, and that's the same message board post, or review that was kept for the Google search answer. Gone is the long list of information you would wade through to get the answer you sought, along with a trove of other related information.
