I don't. My kids will be selective service age in 4-6 years. We all saw how Iraq and Afghanistan went for 20 years. Recruitment is down so a draft isn't off the table given Irans size. I appreciate our military, but I don't want my kids to get into it forcefully.

No issue with giving weapons. Israel has held its own so far. I don't know that we need to attack directly even if it's just air. Iran can't do anything to the US land of any consequence. So between my kids and no retaliatory power, I wouldn't waste the time in my opinion. Also Iran has done nothing for my daily life ever, so who cares?

There are thousands of nukes pointed their way if needed. Even if they get them, I don't think that tips the scales globally. Outside of oil, what the hell does Iran even produce?
2   SharkyP   2025 Jun 20, 7:44am

I think we should lease/lend B2 bombers to Israel as well as the MOABs
3   Tenpoundbass   2025 Jun 20, 7:57am

Israel has boasted about their superior military and intelligence for years. Time for them to show it.
They should be in a place they don't need our help. If Iran was capable of nuking them, they would have done it weeks ago.
Especially after they made a charcutier board out of their headquarters and took out a bunch of Salamis.

Yes, I fully support it - it will bring the apocalypse and the emergence of the Mahdi.

Just kidding.

Troll questions deserve troll answers.

Years ago, during the time when Israel attacked Lebanon, I recall Jerry Falwell being interviewed on a major network regarding the bombings by Israel that had killed over 10,000 civilians. Falwell was asked if he supported Israel, and of course, Falwell (with a SMILE) said that he was 'commanded by the Bible' to support Israel in all that they do ! What I didn't know at the time, but soon found out, was the fact that Israel had 'gifted' to the 'reverend' a Learjet in reward for Falwell's unwavering friendship to Israel. I'm sure that such a gift had NOTHING to do with Falwell's blind support for the secular, Zionist state of Israel. None whatsoever.

By the way, at that time, we had a family of Christian Lebanese that lived in our neighborhood at the time when Israel was attempting to bomb Lebanon back to the stone age. They were the best neighbors we ever had and have since moved away. They used to make annual trips to Lebanon in order to visit family members. In this family was a young boy named Andrew. He was a great kid that was very industrious. He showed that by looking for 'work' such as cutting the grass, raking leaves, etc. He liked to talk to me and one day he looked me in the eyes and mournfully asked why Israel was attacking Lebanon and killing so many innocent people. I'll never forget the sad look on that kid's face ! For me, that experience put a 'face' on all those innocent victims that are suffering due to the violence that is being inspired by those that order such attacks while they and their family members are being protected.

It's amazing the amount of money we spend for defense and there are just a handful of assholes that make it necessary.

Without Xi, Kim, Putin and Khomeini around we could cut back on defense department spending if politicians had the balls to tell the Pentagon to fuck off.

I didn't answer the question, because I don't know what we should do about Iran.
8   FuckTheMainstreamMedia   2025 Jun 20, 9:11am

Stories like that (the Lebanese kid) almost always come from a place of partial ignorance. I don’t know the whole backstory and historical context, but I’m willing to bet there’s a ton behind it.

This current situation would end if the people of Iran would rise up and overthrow their government. I’m not sure they are capable.

Also I’m a whole lot more in favor of US involvement if we don’t need boots on the ground. I have no interest in the US invading Iran.
9   RayAmerica   2025 Jun 20, 9:13am

Our Founding Fathers, specifically George Washington in his farewell address, warned against unnecessary and unjustified 'foreign entanglements.'

Iran offers ZERO threat to the United States, yet, Israel is maneuvering us into a position to attack Iran on their behalf. Haven't we learned anything from our 'entanglements' in Iraq & Afghanistan? Aside from all the death and destruction, what exactly did those wars accomplish?
10   Ceffer   2025 Jun 20, 9:53am

Globalist Intels created the 'perfect enemy' to feed the armaments industries with the mullahs and run both horror proxy states. Both countries are involved in major global mother fuckery.

Israel has been described as a military base pretending to be a country, not a country with a military base. It looks like Trump may be trying the delicate surgery of regime changing both bypassing the Globalist campaign to reduce both of their crime scenes to nuclear ash (as with Ukraine). How that will go is anybody's guess. The 'pox on both their houses' seems to be descriptive.

Trump shows here the parable of the Obama Manchurian. Billions in cash sent to Iran, who then take their cut and launder back through the Vatican Bank for nefarious purposes. Iran is on whose payroll here?

Ditto. This will get dragged out if we get involved. My primary take is I don't want my kids involved in 5 years. And it's a waste of money for a country that realistically can't touch us unless we have ships in the Persian Gulf. We destroy them there. Their location sucks bad.

Agreed. If we get entangled for 5-10 years my kids could be involved. Iran can't do a damn thing to us. Just send stuff to Israel if we want any involvement. I don't particularly care about that. Islam screwed up Iran, so if we send munitions I wouldn't care, just no US troops.

Our CIC has issued an ultimatum for UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER. Since they don't seem to be surrendering and our POTUS is not some clown whose ultimatums are to be taken lightly there will be a war.

In case you aren't familiar with this stirring, fake, lying testimony that was repeated over and over again by all the fake media, along with by President George H. W. Bush in practically every speech he gave leading up to the invasion of Iraq. It was used very effectively in helping to stir up the gullible American public to support the illegal invasion of Iraq:

Nayirah Kuwaiti girl testimony

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmfVs3WaE9Y

Nayirah al-Ṣabaḥ (Arabic: نيره الصباح‎), called "Nurse Nayirah" in the media, was a fifteen-year-old Kuwaiti girl, who alleged that she had witnessed the murder of infant children by Iraqi soldiers in Kuwait, in verbal testimony to the U.S. Congress, in the run up to the 1991 Gulf War. Her testimony, which was regarded as credible at the time, has since come to be regarded as wartime propaganda. The public relations firm Hill & Knowlton, which was in the employ of Citizens for a Free Kuwait, had arranged the testimony. Nayirah's testimony was widely publicized. Hill & Knowlton, which had filmed the hearing, sent out a video news release to Medialink, a firm which served about 700 television stations in the United States. That night, portions of the testimony aired on ABC's Nightline and NBC Nightly News reaching an estimated audience between 35 and 53 million Americans. Seven senators cited Nayirah's testimony in their speeches backing the use of force. President George Bush repeated the story at least ten times in the following weeks. (Wikipedia)

The lie wasn't exposed for quite some time. "Nayirah" wasn't a nurse at all ... she was actually the daughter of the Kuwaiti Ambassador to the USA.

Missing from the youtube video are the comments of "Holocaust Survivor" Rep. Tom Lantos, who went on and on praising this young actress, claiming that 'not since the Holocaust have we heard of such horrific, barbaric crimes against humanity being committed ... ' and how 'brave this young woman is to give us her testimony' blah, blah, blah ... knowing full well that it was fake from the very start.

I know those were horrible lies, and similar to womyn lying about rape I think punishment for such lies leading to war should almost carry the same punishment as the claimed crime once proven a fraud in court. Unfortunately this is part of daily war propaganda.
21   goofus   2025 Jun 20, 4:34pm

No. The propaganda is near-identical to that of Iraq. WMD, globe-circumnavigating missiles, mistreatment of women, a populace just on the verge of rising up — based on nothing but Mossad. Our own DNI (as testified by Tulsi Gabbard) believes Iran shut down its enrichment in 2003, never to resume.

Sure, Israel is under threat by pre-emptively attacking Iran. Too bad. Perhaps avoid battles you can’t win on your own.
22   Maga_Chaos_Monkey   2025 Jun 20, 4:45pm

Just what I need, Iran sinking some ships and shutting down the Straight of Homos, causing the biggest oil spike in history, precisely when I plan to fly to Iowa to pick up a truck to drive back to Texas.

LOL. The war started by the PLO shooting up a church and allying itself with Shi'a to overthrow the Christian President.

Peace through Strength, not fake promises that won't be kept after negotiations and bribery.

No Iranian Nukes, and it's great if the IDF can do it alone. This has always been Trump's Stance. If Israel does do it, I expect a whole bunch of Brown-Red-Green propaganda about secret US help and B-2 strikes. Israel will never be given the credit.
Just like the NAIL crowd is already pre-agitating with "If Nimitz gets attacked, or Islamic Sleeper cells activate, it's really a Mossad False Flag"

Since 2011 at least:

https://x.com/realDonaldTrump/status/132495976639377408

Promises made, Promises Kept! I didn't vote for Charles Lindberg or Thomas Massie as President

Regime change would be nice, too. Losing wars and prestige can cause a revolution on their own.
28   goofus   2025 Jun 20, 6:06pm

Thanks actually. The transcript supports the point of there being no nuclear weapons, no intercontinental ballistic missiles, and no threat to US beyond the Middle East region.

Tulsi Gabbard’s comments:

“Iran continues to seek expansion of its influence in the Middle East, despite degradation to its proxies and defenses in the Gaza conflict. Iran has developed and maintained ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and UAVs, including systems capable of striking US targets and allies within the region. Tehran has shown a willingness to use these weapons, including during a 2020 attack on US forces in Iraq and in attacks on Israel in April and October 2024.

“Iran’s cyber operations and capability also present a serious threat to US networks and data.

The IC continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon, and that Supreme leader Khameini has not authorized a weapons program that he had suspended in 2003. The IC continues to monitor closely if Tehran decides to reauthorize its nuclear weapons program.

“In the past year we’ve seen an erosion of the decades-long taboo in Iran against discussing nuclear weapons in public, likely emboldening nuclear weapons advocates within Iran’s decision-making apparatus.

“Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile is at its highest levels, and is unprecedented for a state without nuclear weapons.

“Iran will likely continue efforts to counter Israel, and will press for US military withdrawal from the region by aiding, arming, and helping reconstitute its loose consortium of like-minded terrorists and militant actors, which it refers to as its “Axis of Resistance.” Although weakened, this collection of actors presents a wide range of threats, including to Israel’s population, US forces deployed in Iraq and Syria, and to US and international military and commercial shipping and transit.”

The concern seems to be with Islamic countries, or countries threatening to Israel. I don’t make the rules, just complain about them. The “acceptable countries to have WMDs” list is incoherent.

Yeah, rules are weird. And it's not about Islam either: Belarus, Ukraine and SA are Christian but were pressured into giving up their nukes, while 1/4 Mooslim then and 1/3 Mooslim now Russia was allowed to keep them. Not to mention 100% Mooslim Paki.
