It occurred to me today, that left vs right has largely become lies to protect feelings vs truth to keep us from plunging into chaos, poverty, and ultimately extinction.

While I can see that it's pointlessly mean to offend for no reason but the joy of offending, that doesn't mean that harmful lies should simply be accepted without objection.

The situation got so extreme that the obvious lie that men can be women was actually defended by a large number of women, including the defense of housing male rapists in women's prisons, just because those men claim to be women. Thank God for JK Rowling.

Just after thinking all that, I saw this article:

https://www.eugyppius.com/p/schoolmarmocracy

Schoolmarmocracy

Thoughts on the hall monitors and the discourse police who make progressive Western politics such an unbearable lobotomised shitshow ...

Under Bundestag President Julia Klöckner, it is increasingly forbidden to say anything interesting at all. Alice Weidel in a recent speech was admonished for observing that Chancellor Friedrich Merz has become the “lying chancellor” in the eyes of the people. Also forbidden in Klöckner’s Bundestag: using the English word “bullshit” (which is not really a profanity in German), referring to the statements of other politicians as “untruths” and calling the self-proclaimed “democratic parties” a “political cartel.” Even the basic act of levelling accusations against one’s political opponents is now out of bounds. All of this is uncivil, beyond the pale, unbecoming of parliamentary discourse – and should you overstep, you are likely to get a lecture and maybe even a call to order from nightmare-haunting personages like Bundestag Vice President Josephine Ortleb...

Or consider what has happened since the election of Frauke Brosius-Gersdorf to the Federal Constitutional Court blew up in Merz’s face last week. The immensely grating Britta Haßelmann, whose voice sounds like what would happen if you crossed a frog with a D-list soprano and who for some reason co-chairs the Green Bundestag faction, stood at the podium on the day of the failed vote and shrieked in a quite unhinged and extended manner about the evils of misogyny, which is naturally the only conceivable reason CDU representatives might not want a lunatic leftoid on the nation’s highest court.

... Everywhere you turn there are shrill screaming harpies shouting not so much that you are wrong, as that what you are saying is unjust, inappropriate and perhaps even sinful.

This is schoolmarmocracy. It’s what happens when people like the women pictured above over-accumulate in your governing institutions. It is everywhere in the West, but Germany has a particularly noxious case of it. The plague has been getting worse for years, arguably since the beginning of our present political moment in the years after 1945. It has never been worse than now.

Schoolmarms are a specific genre of human, especially common among European-descended females of a certain age, though men can be schoolmarms too. Schoolmarms have some utility as social enforcers among the young or the mentally deficient, but when too many of them end up in positions of prominence and authority you have serious problems. Everywhere schoolmarms gain the upper hand, we see the same symptoms – an obsession with vocabulary over ideas, a pervasive insistence that everybody be nice, constant catastrophising and a tendency to divide every concept and ultimately every person into opposing camps of good and evil. ...

They're as good as cloned psychos tuned to the beat of the agitprop hyperrealities. So much hysteria, so little time.

JK Rowling, a woman after my heart. A real woman. Who are these women that defend putting (male) sex offenders in women's prison ? They must not feel very womanly !

Here's one:

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/biden-judicial-nominee-defends-putting-male-transgender-pedophile-rapist-in-womens-prison/

Republican Senators Ted Cruz, John Kennedy, and others grilled Judge Sarah Netburn on why she supported a transfer request by ‘Justine Shelby,’ a ‘transgender’ male who raped a nine-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, to a women’s prison.

World War Reee is a great example, and still no "Shucks, I was wrong" from the Panican punditry.

With Elon's Pajeet Party resulting from his temper tantrum over H1Bs last Winter and not getting his Solar/EV subsidies, oops I mean deficit concerns, and the flipsouts on them...

It's clear that feefees and logic are at war with each other, not just on the left.

This post strikes me as celebrating the echo chamber. Its an echo chamber post in an established echo chamber with strongly one sided readership.

If Im not welcome to express that I disagree with the premise of this post, that's fine. You don't have to talk to me. You can delete my account. Sorry if you took it personally.

Tribalism and echo chambers are the problem. Not the solution.

Trying to engage with people you don't understand is better for humanity.

The concept is not unique here in this forum.

Aunt Lydia, one of the main characters in Handmaids Tale, is a perfect example of the marmocracy. Mentaly and emotionally deficient in normal society, she finds new life in an empowered position after the fall of the US, embracing the dystopian ideas of the new nation and in a utter grandstanding of moral absolutism, seeks to impose those new ideas on the victims of the new regime. Totally convinced of her moral superiority.

You don’t find parallels with female leadership in the Democrat Party? The shrillest voices..AOC, Ilan Omar, Rashida Talib, Elizabeth Warren, etc all are completely absorbed in the righteousness of their manufactured belief system. If this place is an echo chamber, so be it. Elsewhere on the worldwide webs, particularly any Reddit forum, this post would be drowned out 100:1. Belive it or not, it used to be the same way here with Thomas Wong being about the only influential voice on the right. Even our host Patrick was quite the leftist at the time as was Panocan Demolisher who used Ron Jeremy as his icon and went by a slew of prior screen names.

I agree. Definitely not unique in this forum. And definitely not a behavior of the right only. Left wingers do it to.

I participate in a lot of reddit forums, which have various degrees of moderation. Some of them have AMAZINGLY strong echo chamber vibes, and some have interventionalist moderators that mute/ban me regularly if i dissent. Its both sides of the political spectrum that do this. And other communities that are 'cultlike' but non-political in nature.

A community narrative forms, and attitudes turn hostile towards anyone who expresses dissent to the narrative. I think its fundamental human behavior. But we'd be better off if we tried to challenge ourselves more often to recognize it, and have the patience for discourse with people we dont already agree with.

IF the goal is "Open communication"... there should be some reasonable effort to hear each other and not just assume everyone who is not indoctrinated in the same tribe as you is a fool who should be ignored.

The original post has nothing to do with an echo chamber. It describes the reality where schoolmarmy hyenas, yes mostly women, but not all, censor any reasonable discourse from the get go. It's a problem for freedom of speech and for giving citizens the chance to hear all political sides so they can make adequate voting decisions.

She comes around though and eventually does the right thing, driven by actual personal liking of and friendships with the hamdmaids, probably realizing she was partially used and deceived. As bad/evil as her character is portrayed, I think the actual leftoids who, branch covidian style, argued for and supported concentration camps for the untoxxed, would never have come around if the power grab had succeeded and probably done far worse shit than Aunt Lydia to the freedom loving conservative and libertarian heathens.

Speaking of Marmocracy, or perhaps Hocracy, Lauren Southern, desperate for attention, has a book about about all the guys and lines she did and husbands she drove crazy, culminating in a breakdown and friendship with notorious selfish shrew Hillary Crowder.

It's always a red flag when womyn accuse men of sexual assault in their "memoirs". It's either made up or they enjoyed it back then and then somehow ran afoul of their ex lover. If you perceive a sexual assault go the fuck to the police immediately and have it investigated asap instead of waiting til your "memoir years".

I disagree.

The right is far more interested in facts than the left is.

U sure about that? Let's take "bioWEAPONZlabz". What facts on supposed weaponisation have we seen? Zero, zilch, nada. Not from the Soviets who supposedly had to mount a full-blown invasion to seize them, not from musks, patels and bonvaginas who supposedly have all the receipts.... And yet you can't swing a dead cat around patnet w/o hitting somebody feeling they are real AND SPECTACULAR!

Same with Pizzagate and countless other things.

LOL, chemtrails. Nuff said.
19   Patrick   2025 Jul 16, 11:23am

Victoria Nuland herself admitted the existence of biolabs with dangerous pathogens in Ukraine.

Think of Pizzagate as a metaphor for Epstein.
20   Patrick   2025 Jul 16, 11:24am

And I didn't believe that chemtrails were a thing before, but now we find there are definitely weather modification companies:

21   Bd6r   2025 Jul 16, 4:28pm

What is considered Chem trails by Panicans of various types is most definitely not AgI in cloud seeding, which has been known since 1930’s and was used by Soviets even before WW2.
22   DeficitHawk   2025 Jul 16, 6:29pm

First, I agree that 'Feelings vs Truth' is important! Our politics is a disgusting mess of people saying things that are not true to further their narrative... and then refusing to hear the other side.

Lets not pretend its something only one side does. MAGA invented the phrase "Alternative facts"!

Wait are we talking about chemtrails for real? (How do I do a facepalm emoji?) I will say I think the right has more creative conspiracy theories.

My conspiracy theories revolve mostly around Trump taking bribes through his crypto coin and giving privileged access and favors to the people who buy it......
